Every year, the kitchen volunteers at Union Chapel prepare around 3,500 meals for neighbors, families, and friends in need. It’s a remarkable number, and it happens one chopped onion, one simmering pot, and one packed container at a time. Behind every meal is a volunteer who gave their time, their hands, and their heart so that someone could sit down to something warm and nourishing.

What makes this group special isn’t just the food, it’s the fellowship in the kitchen. There’s laughter over the cutting boards, stories shared while stirring, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing the work matters. Friendships form here, and newcomers are welcomed as if they’ve been part of the team for years.

If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to serve, share good times with good people, and be part of something that feeds both body and spirit, we’d love to have you. Come join us in the kitchen. There’s an apron and a friendly face waiting for you.
